Luckily in this Spanish-speaking country the string of expletives spewing out of my mouth at this point were not "dirty words" per se.

Yoi!

This is not a soap opera flashback. This photo marks the beginning of the Camera Got Wet Era.
CostaRica06 142
Heyyyy! Nobody bothered to tell me how my face looks right now! Heyyyy!
CostaRica06 143
The camera being wet makes me very, very sad.
CostaRica06 146
The camera dried out overnight!!! Woo!

This is possibly my favorite piece of traffic signage ever. Cars drive on the Esterillos Este airstrip with impunity since it is probably the widest, flattest pavement in the whole hamlet. So the stop sign perpendicular to the airstrip / street says "Stop if there are cars coming. Or planes. Whichever."

Nameless, faceless American tourist passed out at the bar at 7 AM. What an embarrassment.
CostaRica06 156
What can you say. Disgrace disgrace disgrace.
CostaRica06 158
Map of the Uvita area painted on the wall of the Hotel Tucan. Let's hope they don't re-route the roads or anything.
